98-Key Layout for Gaming and Productivity

The Ajazz AK992 uses a 98-key layout, giving users a compact keyboard while retaining many of the keys found on a conventional full-size keyboard.

This layout can be useful for gamers and office users who want a dedicated number pad without using as much desk space as a standard 104-key keyboard.

Hot-Swappable Mechanical Switches

One of the key features of the AK992 is its hot-swappable design. Hot-swappable keyboards allow compatible mechanical switches to be replaced without traditional soldering.

This gives keyboard enthusiasts more flexibility to customize their typing experience. Before buying replacement switches, make sure they are compatible with the specific AK992 version.

Multimedia Control Knob

The keyboard includes a multimedia control knob, providing a convenient physical control for supported functions such as audio adjustment.

A dedicated knob can be particularly useful when gaming, listening to music, or working because it allows quick access to common controls without relying entirely on software.

Wired USB Connectivity

The Ajazz AK992 uses a wired USB connection, making it straightforward to connect to a compatible desktop computer or laptop.

Unlike wireless keyboards, a wired keyboard does not require Bluetooth pairing or battery charging, which can make it a convenient option for a permanent gaming or office setup.

Is the Ajazz AK992 Good for Gaming?

The AK992 can be a good choice for gamers who want a mechanical keyboard with a compact layout and customizable switches.

Its hot-swappable design is especially useful for users who want to experiment with different compatible switches. However, competitive gamers should check the exact switch, polling rate, response time, and anti-ghosting specifications of the particular version before purchasing.

Is the Ajazz AK992 Good for Office Work?

Yes. The 98-key layout includes a number pad while maintaining a relatively compact footprint. This makes it practical for spreadsheets, writing, browsing, and other productivity tasks.
